Renew U.S. Passport Requirements, Instructions & Application

To Get a Passport Renwal, Applicant Must Meet the Following Qualifications:

Applicant has most recent passport is in his or her possession, OR;
Applicant was 16 years or older when passport was issued OR;
Applicant's passport was issued within the past 10 years OR;
Applicant's passport is not damaged..

If applicant does not meet the above criteria, please Apply for a New US Passport.

Note: New Passport Applicants between the ages of 16 and 17 must appear with one parent to co-sign the application. For applicants under 16, click here.

Renewal US Passport Application Process Overview

Applicant must gather documents listed below to send to 123brazilvisa.com for processing.

Applicant will receive their new passport book with a new passport number and the old passport will be returned.

Gather the requirements below.

1.1

Original Passport

Send us your expired Passport. We will return your old Passport along with your new Passport. Note: The new Passport will have a different Passport number.

1.2

Passport photos

Applicant must submit two (2) identical passport photographs for new passports. These may be obtained at many Post Offices. Kinkos. Mailboxes Etc or similar locations. Poor photos are the most common reason for delay in new passport issuance.

DS-82 Application (online Application)

Applicant must submit one completed new passport application form (DS-82). Please Print two Applications.

Proof of Travel

Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing departure from the U.S. in order to get new passport quickly.

If traveling on business and no itinerary is availabel, a letter on company letterhead indicating dates and purpose of travel will suffice for new US passport applications. If applicant does not posess proper itinerary. Please contact us for options.

Authorization Letter (PRINT TWO)

Applicant must submit an original “Letter of Authorization” which allows 123brazilvisa.com Passport to submit the new passport application to the US State Dept.

Government Fees

A check or money order made payable to "U.S. Department of State" for $170. This fee may also be paid online via credit card when filling out our online order form below.

NOTE: If paying by check:

Please include your date of birth on the memo line of the check. Starter checks for new bank accounts are NOT acceptable.

Although it is recommended that your check have your name pre-printed on it, if submitting a business check or someone else's check, make sure to include your name, address and date of birth on the check. Money orders must contain your information on them.

If you have had Name Change

If you have legally changed your name and you wish to have your new Passport issued in your new name, you must submit an original or certified copy of your marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court order showing the name change. Your new Passport will be issued in your new name.

Additional Info (skip if you do not apply)

If you have a temporary Passport, issued at a US Embassy overseas or other situation causing a short term Passport issuance, you must include a certified birth certificate, past US Passport, or Naturalization Certificate.

If you are behind in child support payments, you may not be able to get a passport.
