To obtain a Vitem V techniacl visa, you must meet the following requirements below:
- Employment Contract (on an employment contract to a Brazilian company); OR:
- Technical Assistance (to provide technical assistance); OR:
- Service Equipment (to install, evaluate, service and/or repair equipment in Brazil); OR:
- Trainee (as a trainee in a subsidiary or affiliated company in Brazil); OR:
- Medical Resident or Intern (as a medical resident or medical intern in Brazil); OR:
- English Teacher or Trainee (to work in Brazil as an English teacher or trainee); OR:
- Services to Brazilian Government (to render services to the Brazilian Government); OR:
- Ship Crew member (on a fishing vessel rented by a Brazilian company)
NOTE: Visitors should register at DPF's Office (the Federal Police) up to 30(thirty) days after arrival.
ORIGINAL PASSPORT
Original, signed US passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Brazil, and with at least one blank visa page available for Brazilian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.

ONLINE VISA APPLICATION
The Brazilian government has introduced a web-based Brazil visa application form. To fill in the on-line form select "Visa Request" and follow the steps. Every question must be answered. Print two copies of the completed form, sign and include with the visa application materials sent to 123brazilvisa.com.

PASSPORT PHOTO(S)
2 recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background (snapshots are not accepted).

PROOF OF DEPARTURE
Computer generated flight itinerary with name(s); from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets.
NOTE: Itineraries MUST have passengers name(s) on them, and one Itinerary per application.
PROOF OF RESIDENCE (JURISDICTION)
A copy of applicant driver's license. Please enlarge for clarity if possible. Address on driver's license must match address on visa application form.
Other Proof Are: Current Utility Bill or Voters Registrators Card.
OFFICIAL INVITATION
Prior authorization by the Ministry of Labor must be obtained before applying for a Technical visa (VITEM V).
NOTE: Applicants must include a copy of the Ministry of Labor approval as well as the telex number and date that the original was submitted to the Consulate.
BUSINESS LETTER
Business cover letter (on company letter head) addressed to the Brazilian Consulate explaining the purpose of the trip in detail, and the nature of duties to be performed in exact detail, guaranteeing financial support for the applicant while in Brazil, and return transportation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The following documents below must be legalized by the Brazilian Consulate. (Fees Apply)
(A) Criminal Record: Good conduct record issued by the local (i.e., applicant's place of residence) police department/authority. (needs to be legalized)
(B) Original or Certified Birth Certificate PLUS one copy: Birth Certificate will be returned with visa when done. The Brazilian Consulate will legalize the copy sent with original.
